The morning began with everyone meeting in Maidenhead at 4.30am to catch the minibus and transit van driven by Sara Bergstedt, a customer of ours who was kindly persuaded to get up very early on a Sunday morning to help out, and Louise Mesens. The team arrived at the start line at 6.30am and began the 54 mile bike ride. After a fantastic effort (and I hear a few hot dogs!) the whole team finished by lunchtime and earned themselves a well deserved drink in the pub. |
